Dogs HQ is one of the most reputable and best doggy daycares in Melbourne. Conveniently located on Hoddle St in Abbotsford minutes from the CBD, our huge state-of-the-art centre has been designed to ensure your pooch gets the very best care, guidance and stimulation. Over our 10+ years, we’ve built a strong community of pooches and their pawrents, as well as a passionate and expert team of handlers who know how to mix learning with fun!

My favourite thing about working at Dogs HQ is seeing how much fun the dogs have and watching the bonds that grow between them. ‘Pawrent’ to: Henry Fox (cocker spaniel x cavalier). My favourite thing about working at Dogs HQ is when a new dog comes in who is timid and shy at first, and they seem so unsure and you think maybe it’s not for them… then after an hour or so they are playing with everyone having the time of their lives!

.Our primary concern is your pet’s safety and happiness; that’s why we’ve always only hired the best! Our dog trainers have all been carefully selected, not only for their training and expertise in various disciplines, but also for their natural affinity with dogs in a pack environment. With many years of experience in day care between us, we’ve each developed a deep understanding of the needs of dogs in this unique setting, as well as a huge range of strategies to meet them!
Each pet parents ourselves (and one pet aunt!), we understand your pooch is part of your family, and we strive every day to make Dogs HQ their home away from home.
Our Approach
At Dogs HQ, we believe in letting dogs be dogs. Our primary focus is on allowing your pooch to have lots of doggy playtime while facilitating healthy socialisation in a safe environment. With high staff/dog ratios, we’re able to provide constant one-on-one supervision and lots of individual attention, giving you the peace of mind of knowing your pooch is getting the exercise, guidance and love they need while you go about your day.
Using a balanced, down-to-earth approach, we aim to reinforce positive behaviours and direct energy away from less desirable ones. Our greatest pleasure comes from helping pups of all ages and sizes become confident, calm and capable of making lots of friends!
